Prince Harry is all set to tie the knot with Suits actress Meghan Markle on May 19. A few weeks ago, a spokesperson for the Kensington Palace announced that the couple had asked for donations to charity instead of wedding gifts, and had selected seven organisations as their preferred beneficiaries.
While most of these are UK-based charities, Mumbai's Govandi-based Myna Mahila Foundation too was in the list.
23-year-old Suhani Jalota is the founder of Myna. She told a daily that her organisation caught Markle's attention at an event in New York City in 2016, a year after she founded it.
'This was at a Woman Of The Year event hosted by a magazine. Meghan was mentoring one of the contestants, and my organisation was chosen as the grand prize winner,' said Jalota, who was studying economics and global health at Duke University at the time.
