Smeared with spices and roasted in tandoor, Mahi Tikka is an interesting fish recipe that you can make for fish lovers in get-togethers and kitty parties. This seafood recipe takes time to prepare but when its made, it will be an instant hit among your guests.
1 kilograms chopped fish
4 tablespoon butter
1/2 cup ghee
3 tablespoon chopped garlic
2 tablespoon powdered red chilli
1 teaspoon powdered turmeric
1/2 cup sliced onion
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon coriander powder
1/2 cup yoghurt (curd)
How to make Mahi Tikka
In a pan, heat ghee and fry the onions till brown. Remove when done and drain the excess ghee and blend to make a paste.
In the same pan, fry the garlic and keep aside. Allow ghee to cool down.
Mix the onion paste, garlic along with all the other ingredients and the fish pieces with ghee. Keep aside for 2 hours.
Skewer the fish pieces and roast in a tandoor for about 8-10 minutes.
Remove, baste with butter and cook further for around 4-5 minutes.
