Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti on Saturday said 'neither guns nor the Army' can bring peace to troubled Kashmir.'Our soldiers are being martyred (in Jammu and Kashmir). Neither guns nor the Army can bring peace to troubled Kashmir,' Mehbooba said while addressing the lawmakers in the state assembly.'The only way to resolve the unrest is to engage in continued peace talks,' she added.
In 2002, former J&K Mufti Mohammad Sayeed first raised the slogan ' Na Bandook Se Na Goli Se, Baat Banegi Boli Se '. The slogan was raised after overwhelming participation of the state during elections.The Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister's comment comes a day after Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorists killed and disfigured six policemen, including a Station House Officer (SHO), in south Kashmir's Anantnag district.
