The Kanak Jyoti Rath Yatra was welcomed in the city's Beerlingeshwara Temple premises by the Davangere, on F8. Area Kurubar Sangha and the District Kuruba Society. Maruti Harihar, chairman of the Haveri district Kuruba Sangha, said this evening, Kanaka Jyothi Yatra has come from these districts in Bangalore, Mysore, Gulbarga and Belgaum to participate in the silver jubilee celebrations of Kaginale Maha samsthana today and tomorrow.
In this context Mr. Eshwaranandapuri Swamiji said that the Kaginale Kanaka Guru Petha was established in 1992 by the intention that the Guru would not be able to develop a social society. After the establishment of this monastery, shepherd society has been able to organize progressively in the field of social, educational, political, economic and cultural life. Similarly, Kaginale Kanaka Gurupeta was also inspired by the establishment of some of the backward classes.
