Orion Span's technology enables us to bring down the cost of visiting and living in space by orders of magnitude.

A Space.com report explains how affordable becomes a relative term. According to the report, a 12-day stay aboard Aurora Station will start at $9.5 million (Rs 61,72,91,000 approximately).

If we go back and see the period between 2001 and 2009, as many as seven private citizens took a total of eight trips to International Space Station (ISS) paying an estimated $20 million to $40 million (Rs 1,29,99,00,000 to Rs 2,59,98,00,000) each time.

Aurora Station will be 43.5 feet by 14.1 feet with a 5,650 cubic feet pressurised volume, according to representatives from Orion Space.

The hotel is much smaller than the International Space Station which is 357 feet long with an internal pressure volume of 32,333 cubic feet and the guests will have to undergo a three-month training before the flight, according to an Inquisitr report.

According to the aforementioned report, the luxury hotel will orbit the Earth at an altitude of 322 km, just some 80 km lower than the ISS.

Orion Span is already starting to accept deposits for those who want to be the first guests in their affordable luxury hotel in space.

Aurora Station will be equipped for a remarkable Astronaut Experience that can be had nowhere else in the known universe: grow food in space, dive into our in-space Holodeck, participate in real space research, or enjoy views that will blow your mind . At the end of the day, curl up in your private suite.
