CWG 2018: 2,25,000 condoms handed out to athletes and staff

Commonwealth Games 2018 is around the corner and ahead of Wednesday's opening ceremony the organisers, besides providing numerous facilities to the competitors, distributed 2,25,000 condoms among 6,600 athletes and team officials entering Australia’s eastern coast. According to equation, each person will get 34 condoms at an average of three a day over the 11 days of competition. Recently, at the Pyeongchang Olympics in South Korea, organisers handed out 110,000 free condoms - a Winter Games record - while 450,000 were on offer at the Rio Olympics, where sexually transmissible Zika was a threat.
