It has been a disappointing outing for the Pakistan cricket team in ICC World Cup 2019. They lost three, faced a washout while also managing an astounding victory so far in the tournament. With three points from five games, Pakistan are languishing at the bottom of the table. One more defeat and Pakistan will be virtually out of the race for the semifinals. And the one person who has been on the receiving end of all the criticism surrounding their performance and the rut they are presently in, has been their skipper, Sarfaraz Ahmed. However, media reports reveal that Sarfaraz has issued a strong statement against his teammates, urging them to raise their performances.
According to Pakistani media outlet thenews.com.pk, Sarfaraz, in an emotional tone following the immense criticism he faced after the India defeat, stated, “If anyone thinks that I will go home, then it is their idiocy. If God forbid something unfortunate happens, then I won’t be the only one going back home.'
