In Sri Lanka, tensions continue in Kandy district as curfew has been imposed all over the district to control the violence against minority Muslim community. The continued violence over last few days had prompted the government to impose emergency all over the country. Schools and educational institutions have been closed till further notice while around 600 armed forces have been deployed in Kandy district to control the situation. Internet services particularly social media platforms have been restricted in the affected areas. The government today said that there were initial lapses on the part of police and a probe is on in this regard.
